OEX is a digital asset trading platform which belongs to OEX International PTE LTD. Its headquarter is based in Singapore and the industry has covered nearly 50 countries and regions in the world.
The steps below will help you start trading Bitcoin Cash on OEX.
To start, open the OEX site. Once the website is up, click on “Sign up” which is located at the upper-right hand corner of the screen.
Type in your preferred email address, confirm the Verification code and Email code. The Email code is sent to the email address you are trying to register. Next, enter your password, confirm that you agree with the terms and conditions, and click on “Registration.”
A small white box will then reflect a message confirming that you’ve successfully registered your OEX account.
It is a must to verify your identity every time you register an account. To do this, go to “Security Settings” and locate “Real-name Auth” under “Security.” Click on “RealName” to proceed.
Type in your real name, country, type of ID that you have, and certificate number if available. Check the agreement box and click on “Submission” to submit the information you’ve filled out.
What is 2FA?
Two-factor authentication, also known as 2FA, is an extra layer of security or added protection which we refer to as multi-factor authentication. Not only the username and password are required but also a piece of information that only a user possesses. This process is to confirm a user’s claimed identity.
The 2FA process helps lessen the number of identity theft cases and as well as phishing via email. It would be harder for potential intruders to gain access and steal someone’s identity and personal data without that piece of information that only the account owner knows.
In the case of exchanges, what the user has are his/her login details such as the username and password. The form of 2FA that a user possesses for this instance is a token or code. The code can be received either through SMS on a user’s mobile phone or via applications like Google Authenticator or Authy.
To activate 2FA on OEX, go to “Security Settings” and locate “Google Auth” under “Security” and click on “Binding.”
Select your authenticator and scan the bar code to generate a six-digit code, then click on “Submission.”
Since you have identified yourself and secured your account on OEX, it’s time to add funds. Go to “Finance.”
Click on “Recharge” under “Financial” and select your currency. The system will then generate a wallet address. You can also scan the QR code to generate a new one. Make sure you are using the correct deposit address when processing your deposit transaction to avoid losing funds.
Take Note:
· Do not recharge any non-BTC assets to the above address, otherwise the assets will not be recovered.
· After you recharge to the above address, you need to get confirmation from the entire network node. In order to accelerate quickly, you can pay a small fee to the BTC network. The arrival time is usually 10 minutes – 60 minutes.
· Your recharge address will not change, you can repeat the recharge, if there is any changes, we will notify you via official announcement or email.
Scroll down the deposit page to view your transaction record.
Using the money you’ve funded on your OEX account, we can now start buying your first Bitcoin Cash. Click on “Exchange.”
Select your Bitcoin Cash and go to the “Ask Bitcoin Cash” section. Type in your desired amount and click on the green box to continue.
Right below the trading page is where you can see your current orders or order history.
